The Willows

This Glenview neighborhood built from the late 1960’s to the early 1970’s  is bordered by Landwehr to the West, Willow Rd. to the North and Greenwood to the East.  Pfingsten Rd.  does divide the Willows West from the original Willows East area.

This peaceful, maturely landscaped neighborhood boasts about 700 homes built on extensive streets and sidewalks and  includes ranches, split levels and two-story homes.   The much desired and affordable area is known not only for convenient proximity to I-294, the interstate, but also to Glenview Metra stations, grocery stores, The Glen and more.  The area is close to Glenbrook Hospital and the Ice Rink as well as Glenbrook South High School.  There is an area park on both sides of the Willows.  To the West is Hawthorne Glen Park and Willow Park Area to the East side.  The seven and a half acre  Willow Park does offer a fieldhouse that can be rented for events, along with tennis courts, a playground, open green space and walking paths.  The majority of the Willows does go to District 30 schools - being Willowbrook Elementary and Maple Middle School.  A few streets on the Southwest end of the neighborhood actually have a Northbrook address and are part of District 31(for elementary and middle school) but do still go to Glenbrook South High School.  The median sale price was about $778,250 in the Willows.
